Stay at this beautiful farm B&B and enjoy the peace and tranquility of our 347 acres of pasture and woodlands, located in the heart of New York State’s Finger Lakes Wine Country. Walk their beautiful fields and wooded trails, fish in their ponds and help feed a bale or a pail of grain to the black Angus herd on their working farm. Also along to greet you is Miracle, their pet Holstein and Domino, their unique belted Galloway and farm mascot.
Amber Waves Farm is right next door to the Keuka Lake Wine Trail and just minutes from the wineries and restaurants along the west side of the lake. A few miles down the road you’ll enjoy the many antique and artisan shops and wonderful restaurants in the Village of Hammondsport (voted the 2012 ‘Coolest Small Town in America’).
Or you can choose to do nothing at all but sit back, relax and enjoy the view from the two story wrap-around porches of the farmhouse. Year-round, the colors of the landscapes and the views are captivating.
After a well rested night in one of their four cozy and comfortable rooms, enjoy a leisurely breakfast in their country kitchen dining area, or, if you prefer, on the wraparound porch that overlooks their barns and pond. They offer a full country breakfast of specially prepared fresh fruit, freshly baked breads and muffins, a delightful breakfast entree with bacon or sausage, juice and of course, a never-ending tea pot and bottomless freshly ground and brewed coffee.
Special dietary needs and restrictions will be cheerfully and skillfully prepared. Please let them know ahead of time. Breakfast is generally served between 8 and 9am, but can be tailored to suit your vacation schedule.
Enjoy the tranquility of their comfortable living room with its many antiques, cozy lap blankets, Direct TV and a library of books and DVD’s. Bring in your cup of coffee, tea, hot apple cider in winter, lemonade or glass of wine. Relax and enjoy the view.
One level up from your bedroom, the attic landing features presidential portraits, a 150 year old wall map of Steuben County and more books. Climb the spiral staircase to the cupola (or magic room as their grandchildren call it) and view the farm from the uppermost point of the house. Settle in a cozy wing chair with a good book. There are books and games for the children and their very own kid-sized table and benches to sit on and work the many available puzzles.
