Empire Evergreens is one of New York’s finest conifer plantations, specializing in premium Christmas trees and nursery evergreens. 136 acre evergreen tree farm located just outside Corning, NY. Growing evergreens for both the retail and wholesale nursery and Christmas tree markets.
Empire Evergreens currently offers 6 varieties of trees for use as Christmas trees on 180 acres with 200,000+ trees from 1′-11′. These include Fraser Fir, Balsam Fir, Canaan Fir, Douglas Fir, Concolor Fir and White Pine. Empire Evergreens encourages their customers to browse the fields in search of that “perfect tree” but we also carry a wide selection of pre-cuts that are well-displayed and sheltered from the weather. Our pre-cut trees are freshly cut as the inventory is sold. We accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards. Leashed pets are welcome. Please be advised this is a farm and you should be careful with the surrounding equipment and terrain conditions.

David Weil founded Empire Evergreens in 2003 as an extension of his landscape contracting company and as a means of preserving the family farm. Despite adverse weather conditions, over 250,000 seedlings and transplants were in cultivation by the end of 2004. Presently, Empire Evergreens has 180 acres in production and features 14 varieties of conifers.

Empire Evergreens strives to produce dense, symmetrical Christmas trees and nursery stock at competitive prices. A comprehensive pest management program helps ensure that tree diseases are controlled in an environmentally responsible and cost-effective ways. Late model, state-of-the-art equipment is utilized in tree production to minimize downtime and maximize worker productivity. Tree production is very weather sensitive and being able to react quickly to changing conditions and anticipate future problems has enabled Empire Evergreens to produce row after row of quality trees.

Following the downturn in the housing market in 2008, Empire Evergreens shifted it’s reinvestment focus to the Christmas tree market. The selection of firs was increased from three to seven varieties with an emphasis placed on Fraser Fir.
