With over 200 different agricultural businesses and experiences, Finger Lakes Farm Country offers you a variety of ways to interact with the people who are the very backbone of the region and we want you to have a wonderful experience. To that end, when you visit these small family-owned farms we ask that you remember you’re often stepping foot into the heart of people’s lives, so please be respectful of the farmers, the farms themselves, and the animals you might encounter. These are working farms, so be aware of your surroundings to ensure a safe experience for you, other guests of the farm, and the farmers.

It’s also important to remember that many farm animals are not pets and, as such, might not react the same way to everyone they encounter. So be sure to follow instructions, ask before you pet, avoid moving in ways that could seem aggressive or threatening as animals react instinctively.
